Dove Intense Repair with Keratin Actives Review – #Dovefillinthegaps

Initially I wasn’t quite sure whether to switch to Dove Damage Solutions – Intense Repair with Keratin Actives range or not. Mainly due to the reason that I’d been using TRESemme hair products for quite some time and had gotten so used to it that I was quite reluctant to change. However, I now stand corrected and would advise you all to try this range out if you have damaged or prone to damage hair. Continue reading

Glitter and Gold with L’Oréal

So I promptly booked my appointment and made it there, in all eagerness to try out the limited edition products. Continue reading

Veet Celebration of Beauty 2013: The good, the bad and the downright ugly!

To say that the event was an improvement from the 2012 version would be a vast understatement. Not only was it much larger in scale, it also had added features this time around. The Beauty Awards segment specifically added much value to Veet Celebration of Beauty 2013 by turning it into a star-studded evening.

Needless to say; the Pink Carpet, as they like to call it, saw quite a number of celebrity appearances. From models to actresses, from singers to designers, all were in attendance. Some basking in their glory, while others wilted like a bunch of flowers unkempt.

Hence, I decided to compile a list of the best-dressed beauties and the worst dressed beasts.

Let’s start off with the BEAUTIES, shall we? Continue reading

NOTD – Chanel Le Vernis in Taboo

I’m doing NOTD after such a looong time and it feels so good because I’ve got something special in store for today! I’m wearing Chanel Le Vernis Nail Colour in Taboo 583 which is a deep purple iridescent nail enamel with red undertones that shimmer violet and coppery red.

I’m so mesmerized by this one that I could look at the dancing shimmers for hours! Chanel nail colous are exactly what you expect from a high-end brand; luxurious and flawless. A friend of mine got this for me saying the shade name “Taboo” goes well with me, and I can’t say I disagree. 😛

The Great Salon Deception: Farah Hussain’s Ladies Salon

By HAYAA KHURSHID

Hey girls. So, everybody loves going to the spa right? This blogger certainly has spa-ing in her top five most favourite ways to pass the time, along with shopping and chilling with my besties and boo. Anyway, because of this and thanks to a very generous mum, I’ve had the luxury of sampling the best spas and salons that Karachi and Lahore have to offer.

Sometimes I leave the spa feeling like I had spent the day in heaven, with no remorse about the odd 4-10k spent on salon and spa treatments. That is because a good spa experience is supposed to leave you rejuvenated and refreshed, not to mention looking gorgeous and smelling divine.

Blogging has other perks. Because I spend a lot of my time on the internet, I managed to sample a lot of deals that come on these, “Oh, I don’t believe we can get so much in so little’ packages on sites like www.dealstoday.pk and others of its kind.

The Deal:

I was salon scouting a week ago, and I came across “Farah Hussain’s Salon” on www.dealstoday.pk. The deal seemed unbelievably awesome. A whitening facial, or haircut, along with protein hair treatment, an OPI manicure/pedicure along with a face polish and blow-dry, all for Rs. 1200. Amazing right? I jumped on the opportunity, because the same services at my pet spa, Roohi’s would have cost me three quarters of what I used to earn before I was a broke college student. Continue reading
